QR CityTrain – Roma Street Station – Peak Hour

by admin on January 24, 2012

One for the suburban fans! The following collection was recorded on platform 6/7 between 0830 and 0900 on Friday 21st of August 2009. Most, if not all of QR CityTrain’s different train types are shown.

@Xtrapolis5 – A unit is three coaches, remember. Two 3-car units make up a 6-car train.

@brayeen1234 A lot of trains from the northside terminate at Roma St in the am peak, while peak hour trains from the south side terminate at Bowen Hills.

You SHould of filmed that ice in the background

SantaFe5811 January 24, 2012 at 7:22 pm

Yeah, that would be my guess too. However, in early peak, some IMU’s run from Corinda to the Airport via South Brisbane.

EAFSQ9 January 24, 2012 at 7:57 pm

The first train I think is from the gold coast.

I remember riding a smu or imu train probably back in 2000 or 2001 and the exterior door buttons were just like the interior door buttons plastic vertical rectangle buttons. Always reminds me of those pineapple shards you get on Hawaiian pizza

A far cry from my younger days riding Brisbane suburban trains in the 1960s.
