yay i love my state its the best!!! im so proud to be a born and raised queenslander. not only cause our states guwgus and is oddly triangular when seen on a map but we also have won the state of origin 5 times in a row now!!! wooo!!!!!

Oh, it’s older than 3 years old… I estimate it to be nearly 6 years old, perhaps even older… but an ad as Australian as this time is somewhat timeless…

The masked people is in reference to Paronella Park near Innisfail, thats wear those people are. Paronella park was built by a spanish guy “Hose Parenalla” back in the early 1900s for his wife. He built the place on his own out of natural materials. It a spanish castle! brilliant to see, I use to live up there.

Why would the Premier of Queenland fly to London to have an ad for Australia reinstated?
This ad was banned because of the men not wearing shirts. Peter Beatie (Qld premier of the time) had to fly to London to get the decision overturned. I don’t recall if he was successful or not. But I do know you are dead wrong
no that was the “Where the bloody hell are you?” campaign which was to advertise Australia to world. This ad is just for Queensland and only aired in Australia.
